Thank you

I have changed the code as proposed.

Thank you!

It works with this code:

(reads the first value in the list of frozenNodes)

local fNod1 = api.engine.getComponent(ConId,api.type.ComponentType.CONSTRUCTION).frozenNodes[1]

Hi

I'm trying to read some values from the entity list of a construction.

Using API inspector, I got info on values for the construction. Some can be read but others can't. I wish do read all the frozenNodes id to be used in a gamescript, but I can't figure out how it should be written in a call.

For example reading productionLevel works (I get the value 2 = that's right), but reading "timeBuilt" doesn't work, it results in a nil value. How to read frozenNodes?

I'm confused

                    local val_1 = game.interface.getEntity(ConId).frozenNodes   -- gives NIL value, expected a table index
                    local val_2 = game.interface.getEntity(ConId).timeBuilt        -- gives NIL value ??
                    local val_3 = game.interface.getEntity(ConId).params.productionLevel  -- works OK

function data()
return {
    params = {
        fade_out_range = {
            fadeOutEndDist = 20000,
            fadeOutStartDist = 10000,
        },
        map_albedo = {
            compressionAllowed = true,
            fileName = "models/vehicle/forklift/forklift_detail_albedo.dds",
            magFilter = "LINEAR",
            minFilter = "LINEAR_MIPMAP_LINEAR",
            mipmapAlphaScale = 0,
            type = "TWOD",
            wrapS = "CLAMP_TO_EDGE",
            wrapT = "CLAMP_TO_EDGE",
        },

            mipmapAlphaScale = 0,
            type = "TWOD",
            wrapS = "CLAMP_TO_EDGE",
            wrapT = "CLAMP_TO_EDGE",
        },
        map_normal = {
            compressionAllowed = true,

            twoSided = false,
        },
    },
    type = "PHYSICAL_NRML_MAP",
}
end

Hello.

I have now stumbled upon a problem where I am animating an object over a larger area. The object consists of a number of LODs and what I see is that the most detailed LOD behaves incorrectly when the object is moved outside the bounding box, visibility (from / to). For troubleshooting I have removed all LODs except one. I think I see that the bounding box that the object has remains at the starting point of the animation.

Therefore, I think I need to create an animation with delta locations also for the LOD, but when the animation is entered during an event like this,

the converter crashes during the conversion.

It seems that the converter does not like that there is a 0 (zero) in the bracket on line 45.

please note. I have in my tests renamed the animation to check if the converter was sensitive on special characters. Therefore it is a difference in names between my screenshots

If I experiment and change the zero on row 45 to 1 and change the next one (row 49) from 1 to 2 it does not crash, but on the other hand it does not work in the game.

If the animation isn't activated in the event list (in Blender), the remaining animation on row 49 will still start on number 1 (not 0 as you may think)

Is there a solution to this so that the creator of this tool does not have to do anything? It's sad to read that the creator does not want to do anything more and this is the main tool I use every time I create my mods for this community.

Thank you for answering.

As I have suspected, this is very complicated until you find the right solution. I will now devote the next days to immersing myself in your creation.

You're probably going to

Yes probably. That is why I placed this question as I have to little info on how to get the right result. Sin x, cos X, tan X ,x2 or combination of some. There are many possibilities but only one is right.

Building a track in the game is easy... but when it comes to building a shape of tracks in a construction (.con file) with edgeList I'm lost. That is why I create curves in Blender. This is very time consuming, so why not using the possibility to make track directly in the construction. The only thing I can do is straight tracks. Curved need proper vectors and I don't know how to calculate them. Looking in the WIKI givs nothing.

Here is what I have

I need a 45° bend.

I have the starting and ending position, but how to get the vectors?

Is there a formula that I can use?

edges[#edges + 1] = { { 100.0, 0.0, 0.0 }, { ???, ???, 0.0 } }

edges[#edges + 1] = { { 130.0, 20.0, 0.0 }, { ???, ???, 0.0 } }

result.edgeLists = {

{

type = "TRACK",

params = { type = "standard.lua" },

edges = edges,

snapNodes = snapTrack

},

}

Was Sie beschreiben überrascht mich nicht.

UG really could create a Wiki overview page with a list of all triggers, event names for animations and sound...

I'll write them an e-mail...

productionHalf and productionFull

I now see that I have not been clear in my first writing. I think you have been able to figure out where I found these event names. For the reader who wants to know, I write here that you can easily get these names if you open various models in the model editor.

Starting the event in the industry seems not to work with productionHalf or productionFull, but I found an animation in the sawing mill and there it is called producing. That works!
