geschlossene Beta (bereits beendet, Download für alle Verfügbar siehe ersten Post)
Was erwartet mich in der Beta?
Mir Feedback geben.

CLOSED BETA (already finished, free download available see first post)
What can I expect in the beta?
The mod will be in a kind of "test mode". This means that only the given game settings can be used. In contrast to the final version, this means:
- The play time will be much less than in the release version.
- settings are therefore deactivated
- only the biggest 3 cities will be counted (release up to 12)
- 500 base size of cities (release up to 1200, which will mean a whole 6000 people at +400%)
- 2 hours time per city and milestone (release 1, 2 or 4 hours depending on difficulty)
- Fines if schedule is missed (release can also be switched off)
- Feature "research" and "building permits" activated (release also can be switched off)
Who can participate?
Anyone, but you should bring a lot of gaming experience and be willing to play without other mods. High frustration tolerance is recommended as you will probably lose your progress.
How can I participate?
Send me a PN or write here in the forum with the following information:
- Why do you want to have the link to the mod?
- How much experience do you have with TPF2?
- How experienced are you in modding TPF2?
- Where is the stdout of TPF2?
Do all participants get an answer?
If there are too many, I reserve the right to choose only a few. But I assume that I will send the link to all. I'm glad for everyone who wants to try it out! I will try to send you a PN within 24 hours. It will be a zip-file from my dropbox-folder, which you have to download. The zip file will always contain the latest version. If there is a new version, I will announce it here in the forum. If that happens, please feel free to contact me again to get the new link as the old one will be dead as soon as i upload a new version. In the ZIP file is the mod "logistic challenge" and a not yet released version of the "production challenge", as you will need both mods.
What do I have to do as a beta tester?
Give me feedback. In the closed beta, the goal would even be to send me your final state, that is, your final savegame. The longer you play, the better. We're not just talking about a few hours here, but ideally dozens of hours. Feel free to share your experiences here. And especially important: if you find a bug, take a screenshot and send me the stdout.lua. And as good as you can explain the problem to me.
Why not public right now?
I'm behind my schedule now and won't have much time to play myself for the next weeks. But for the start of the public beta it is necessary that I see one or the other game in the endgame and can practically check how the balancing looks like and if there are not still bugs that make it impossible to reach the endgame. But as soon as something is publicly available, I want to manage a certain quality. The plan is to start the public beta as soon as possible. Currently I expect it to take at least another 2 weeks. For the hard core it makes sense to at least have a look at it now.
When will the public beta start?
The more people apply for the closed beta and play actively, the faster. But I can't give a strict time frame. If you don't want to wait, you are of course free to apply for the closed beta at any time.
What will be the difference with the later public beta?
Stability. The betas will not differ in content. So the test mode included now will be retained. However, the mod will be better tested at the start of the public beta. Crashes and bugs can then but of course still be drinn, it remains a beta. But at that time we want to have all mods in EMP compatible and at the same time it should not be a big problem if you want to use other (vehicle) mods. So overall, the public beta will be much looser.
Will the Mod-Beta be compatible with the the upcomming tpf2-update?
No. First, i have to evaluate needed changes. And i hope, i am able to implement the features coming with the tpf2-update. So sadly, the current mod-beta will already end with the release of the tpf2-update. At least we have to expect it that way as i will probably need more time until needed changes to the mod are done. But it is planed to have a second beta when this happens. Notic: Compatibility between first and second beta will not be guaranteed.
Thank you for your interest
