FYI if you didn't see, there is an update on the Vollmer facility buildings, it corrects the annoying flickering of the signage.

I had the same idea, but it is indeed really much work to do that correct. It may sound simple to some to create dents as it doesn't need to fit any form or patern, however exactly that makes it difficult.
For example if a car crashed into a tree the dent is not an exact match to the form of the tree. Also making the materials nicely random is time costly.
However a few (in my case T3's) without bumpers/doors/tires etc. are an option I may go for.
The update for the DAF box trucks is about done. The fire vehicles will be in a seperate mod which need a bit more work.
However before uploading I was wondering if anybody is willing to do some testing?
I've uploaded two small updates;
- The bucket in the small water well is no free of terrain alignment (the Steam version already was).
- The asset settings in for the motocycles are improved
- Bug fix in the motorcycles mod
A little more asset fun
, just don't look too close .
Think we're going to need fire hoses ... I won't mod those (now) but if anybody got an idea how we could create some... perhaps alike the hedges mod... ideally they would be able to transport water ...
ideas enough, time much less ![]()
A tribute to 'the bucket':

and it's a bad ass mean bucket, everytime you get it up nicely filled, it vaporizes the water ![]()

I gave another video a shot, as I didn't have to line up so much it was faster.
It's the animation on the waterwell, which is now also available on steam btw.
Leave a like if you want more videos
I've just uploaded a small update for the waterwell to add a better height setting (2.5cm exact) and cross angle rotation on O & P keys.
Enjoy.
Tried a Youtube video, but that took more time than expected, so probably won't do this a lot.
Hope you enjoy a preview of what will be coming.
Now the ladder truck asset is under construction and it's working out as I hoped ![]()
Some previews;
So its a question of which cargo will be transported and not if the vehicle is empty or loaded.
that explains why I experienced it as always hidden, as the setting was applied for all cargo types.
The assets for the fire vehicles are comming together, the ladder truck is yet to do and that does need some thought.
Also no crew feature is made yet, but there is a new paint coat for the Dutch livery from '93 to '19.
Plus a new type of open truck. But the toHide doesn't work, the wheelbarrow I put in the rear is either always shown (that is when referenced by .msh file name) or never when referenced by the "name" tag put on the model item. Is it something I'm doing wrong or is the feature not available on road vehicles?
WOW! Compliments.
Nice feature with the turn light indicator in the dash ![]()
Still reworking the driving trucks, all have now tailored drivers, also I've made a new fun feature for the trucks; Drivers getting out of their seat.
Here for testing, but I may leave this in, on a fire support vehicle, my main goal is to have this for the ladder truck, so there is someone in the operator seat and in the basket.
Hi,
the T3 on the road do not come from the base pack but from the additional carpack.
You can run Just the base (plus colour) pack to have vehicles available for your lines and none from the game generated traffic.
At the moment the carpack doesn't offer configuration features to reduce the vehicle count.
That does make me think of an old Dutch lottery commercial;
I'm reworking the DAF55 Box trucks, mainly I'm adopting a generic structure so not much to see.
There will be some small improvements visible, like dials in the dash. But also a few right-hand drive vehicles will be added.
I'm only at the first few driving vehicles, there is a lot to be done still.
working on an animation for the ladder, I've only done the doors open now but it's quite nice so far.
The basket goes up 25.9m ![]()
However the need to get distinction in animations for the stops at the fire station and elsewhere is here again ![]()
It is a fairly simple trick to change the driver character, I do comment out the driving licence and if the character is tailored I set that to be available only from 1848 to 1849 and have a WATER driving license, that prevents the characters to be triggered by the game KI.
A limitation is that you can only assign one character mdl, i.o.w. all crew members on board will be identical. You can bypass that by creating your own character mdl in which you simply combine various persons. Position your persons respective to the master/driver position and .
