🚂 TPF3 Map Studio v0.1.0 ist veröffentlicht – Tester gesucht!
Hallo zusammen,
2. TPF3-Map-Studio.exe im entpackten Ordner starten
Hinweis: Beim ersten Start warnt Windows eventuell („Weitere Informationen“ → „Trotzdem ausführen“).
Bekannte Einschränkungen in v0.1.0:

🚂 TPF3 Map Studio v0.1.0 is out – testers wanted!
Hi everyone,
I've finished TPF3 Map Studio and am releasing it as a first public version for testing. It's a free, open-source Windows tool that prepares real-world map data for Transport Fever 3, so you can rebuild real regions in the map editor.
Features:
• Heightmaps from DGM1 (Germany, 1 m), swissALTI3D (Switzerland/Liechtenstein, 2 m), Copernicus (worldwide, 30 m) or your own GeoTIFF tiles
• Height window for the editor limits (−20 to 3177 m) with preview: cap peaks, cut off lows or squash
• Water level suggestion, rivers from OSM, smoothing, levelling of routes and settlements
• Biome mask, towns, industries and a station list for the import
• The dialog lists the exact values to enter during the in-game import
No mod required: you import the heightmap as well as the town and industry files with the game's built-in import in the map editor (Towns/Industries tab → Import). When importing industries, please choose "Keep towns: Yes". The station list (.json/.csv) is a plain reference list and does not build anything in the game.
Install:
1. Download the ZIP and extract it completely (don't run it from inside the ZIP)
2. Start TPF3-Map-Studio.exe from the extracted folder
Note: Windows may warn on first start ("More info" → "Run anyway"). That's known for PyInstaller programs, and some antivirus tools raise false positives. The source code is public and the SHA-256 checksum is on the release page.
Known limitations in v0.1.0:
• The mapping of OSM objects to industries is only a suggestion; whether the game accepts every position has not been tested.
• Undo is disabled for OSM objects
• Shared vertices of your own objects are not propagated to neighbouring objects
• Adding/deleting points in multipolygon relations is not saved
• The program interface is German only for now
Any feedback is welcome: what works, what doesn't, which region did you rebuild? Please report bugs and wishes as an issue on GitHub, ideally with a short description and a screenshot.
