Oh, the Benz didn't have the blink lights and dimmed lights options yet.
Similar to the FAUN these are also included for the Mrecedes.

Oh, the Benz didn't have the blink lights and dimmed lights options yet.
Similar to the FAUN these are also included for the Mrecedes.
The first FAUN is available and also the Benz is updated.
New on the Mercedes are is the yellow paint, on the fly I also made a white ´Red cross´version.
To provide more diversity the jerry can on the rear is gone and the red cross has no spare tyre. Did they use it??
Let me know if you like it and share some screen shots of your use.
Last bits on the first tender are done, a last check and then it will be ready.
I've been able to include some nice options that are especially nice for using the asset in 'Schönbau'. It's a pitty I couldn't fit the rims I intended, so now what I basicly use is what I intended as lod1.
Not sure if it would make sense to include a 'lod-1', in other words, use 4 lods with the first only for a small distance. Would that allow to exceed the preferred mesh limits?
But as it now stands, it's a "Coming soon!";
Really like that DAF
.
I have modded one, but that is really far from being uploadalbe. Simply way too much mesh detail, so hope yours will do better.
Also the small tender has now got a yellow paint, I'm liking it
.
Possibly I'll make it available this weekend already.

I'm adding yellow to the colour choices to represent a more civil look, the yellow vehicles will not have license plates or German texts, so no language conflict if you play a different country.
The headlights are dimmed a bit and blink lights can be set to emergency mode for the asset.
The FAUN crashtenders are under construction again.
I made quite simple rims, but must pay attention not to exceed the 10k limit on the vertices. For the 8 wheeler the count is at 10k exact, but it still needs add-ons for the flashlights
.
For the small crashtender the asset options are done. Here some images, possible unique combinations are ... well too many almost
.
Additionally to the Benz this one features options for active blink lights, light mast settings and open sides.
Enjoy the new year!
Hi All,
I'm wondering to what extend mods must follow the defined file folder structure. I mean a mod usually wont contain multiple vehicles, let alone vehicles of different transport modes. In most cases a mod is about one model, optionally with some different configurations and/or colouring. Does it then need to have all those sub folders like for example models\vehicle\truck\mymod\ ? In my mods I find it sufficient to stick to the base of it, so just using models\mymod\ instead.
So far I have not seen any conflict or otherwise negative effect. Does anybody know if such use does have impact on game-play and if so which?
Thanks & Greetings, Gruss,
B|ko
The benz is available since today, it took a while to get approval I guess as it was posted Saturday already.
It is in the categories cars and Bko, that will be sufficient for a while at least ![]()
Hope you enjoy and share some footage here.
Rounding up on the Benz, one question; Has anyone already created a category for Fire departments/vehicles/equipment or so?
And if so do we have an icon for it?
I made some new rims and tyres for the Benz, these work better.
Holy canolli!
this is just fabulous!!!
I am so much looking forward to this.
by the way: will those Mercedes Benz Offroaders (the fire chief & military police version) be part of that package or did you create them on your own?
That is indeed the aim, maybe separate from the fire station. But it still needs a little tuning on rims and blue lights.
Testing on the fire station goes quite well, some minor issues so fare only. The one I can't get rid of yet is that some meshes aren't visible in close view on certain angles. (see last image not showing the parking lot wall nor stripes) Anybody got ideas?
Besides that it now has a larger staff parking, fence and various choices for trees. Some lights will probably also fit. For the backyard I intend to add some swap containers.
Cargo spawns to the bedroom area, the capacity is therefore very limited, but that is intentional. A fire department is not a stock warehouse
.
I've made water to be a cargo type and that is being delivered to the station in the rear (un-)load zone.
Also a different variant for use as a truck service station is getting form.

Why? Fortunately TPF is one of the rare games without military, war and killing people. Me, I hope it stays this way.
I agree to the non-violence, but do think some military equipment can be nice. It does not necessarily require war for an airshow or practice
.
No, there will not be any military versions from DH-106, he made this clear a few weeks ago while he was working on the Fw Condor
OK, thanks, I didn't catch that.
Never-the-less still great mods!
Nochmals Danke!
Great additions toady (again), I like the Tupolev especially. By any chance do you also make military versions?

Hi all,
My large fire station made some progress again, there are now 15 terminals operational, #15 is meant for supply deliveries.
The middle (tower) lane is entered from the front, this makes that the vehicle must make a unrealistic 180 (as reverse parking is not an option). Perhaps I should make it enter from the back, like the others, and then in the building shift lane. What do yo think??
The interior is starting to look better too, there is a bit of space between the images and the windows which results in a nice 3D effect.

My experience is in basis the same as above, indeed if it comes down to it there is still a judge who will also apply some level of, let's say, common sense.
Though my experience is on business cases, luckily no private needs or issues, I trust that if a Private person is affected such will count even more. From a company you may expect a certain level of knowledge and expertise, for a private person that is far less applicable.
The issue with these kind of cases is mainly the threat the (big) company is to a single Private person. To make it to court you'll need to spend some serious money first and above all you'll need a long breath, as such cases can take years before a (first) judgement is spoken. You'll meanwhile be unsure if and to what extend your spendings will be refunded.
Hence in most cases the companies expect a private person to simply retreat and revert or correct their actions. Often such cases are initiated from eager lawyers or legal employees.I mean the owner of the restaurant at the end of the street would never complain, instead he would be honoured if I made his place as a mod.
So it's a risk when using large brand labels, though I think with the above as noted also by DH-106 we will stand strong if needed. Might one receive a legal note just be cautious in the wording of your reply.

Both, the BO 105 ("Christoph") and the UH-1, used to fly over our house because we lived in the flight corridors of a hospital (BO 105) and airfields (UH-1, Chinooks and Blackhawks). To see it now, together with the Vollmer construction kits in TPF2, is so wonderful.
A Chinook is in my collection already, I thought of using it for the fire practice but it needs more than just a bit of fine tuning. So I'll see probably I'll go for something more ready for use.
