While the Benz is running test with the new crew members there is good progress for the DAF NT2800.

All 3 variants of the Herpa trailer are now done, being 3-, 4-, and 5-axle versions.

The liveries available will be the DAF catalogue orange/yellow, a military dark green, Felbermayer and Mammoet.

Felbermayr will be loaded with the truck, for the other two I have yet to come up with a cargo item. Mammoet is most likely going to carry a big box.

PS I won't animate the ramps, but have prepared open and closed versions for the assets.

The audi avus is ditched and replaced with a new small side project, a DAF N2800 truck. Not the most common truck DAF made so doubt anyone recognizes it;

the trailer is the Herpa flatbed I made before, still the 4 and 5 axle versions need to be done, but now I have reason to build those.

Yes it's a pitty the sitting persons only look at their mobiles and imaginary news papers

Tailoring their animations is possible, but just a tiny bit of too much effort .

For the DLRG I've now got different tailored figures in place by putting them into a single mdl.

The two girls will get a bit more of a life-guard look. Them standing in the back is nice, but as they don't hold on to the roofbar it's not very realistic... so I may give them a seat after all.

I'm wondering if it is possible to apply different characters for (road) vehicle crews.

I'm adding characters to the Benz but want to use different figures for driver and co-driver, especially for the open BLRG version it would be cool to get different figures in the rear.

I've tried various things with the seat provider, my last option open is to create mdl files that contain all persons on board in one, but that seems rather extreme...

Anybody got knowledge or tried such here? Tips are welcome, thanks!

Absolutely!

The VW Colour pack is updated and now also contains my branded Transporter, be advised that the newest version of the T3 Base Pack is needed.

Hope you enjoy and let me know which you like most or, might there be, any issues encountered.

Further expansions with emergency, service, military and airport vehicles are still to come. Possibly I'll add a few more brands later as well.

Pfew, thank you! The hardware shouldn't be the issue here, I'm on an HP Zbook i7 quad core with an Nvidia graphics card. But I did get an update for the graphics earlier tonight.

I've changed the preferred processor (back?) to the card and can work again :).

Strange is however that I have worked in the editor after that last update at least once...

OMG, my model editor just crashed and won't open anymore

All was fine, I was running some tests on the VW T3 and found I still needed to add a UI image. So closed the game (to desktop) and started the editor already while closing. Somehow only the command window opened and not the editor itself, so I killed the session in my taskmanager.

But if I now start the editor it reports the below error and crashes

Can anyone please advise

with a chrome finish it becomes apparent the detail level isn't very high, but I do not want to add (much) more mesh and using a normal map to compensate all this... I won't be able to make it smooth with that.

In game the zoom level is usually much less so it is less obvious.

What's your opinions? Should I skip or proceed this model?

Anyway a little side fun, intended mainly as a cargo item for an auto ambulance of the DAF.

First view in the game of an Audi Avus, the model has no materials yet, so it just about the form and dimensions now.

Ps: are you asking for a specific ltm crane or was that a more general question? Afaikuntil today there are no official plans here on this forum at least to create such a vehicle!

Thanks, yes there will be an orange rotary light as add-on. That will be the service vehicle update, or something alike. Also emergency vehicles, military and of course an airport line fitting the crashtenders are on the list. The plan is that, alike the taxi sign. these will add several add-ons.

And I'm thinking ... Schoolbus with small passengers

Sharp shot, I have some ideas which could be a cause for this. Look at it as a free gadget; it´s a fun toy, but not the really the quality you´re after .

Congrats , the flickering appeared to me as well, hence I left this as only an Easter egg. From a bit of distance you probably won´t note it that much and it´s still fairly nice, e.g. for a road work site.

Play with the settings, it is an animation so not 100% sure they show you'll note them when the game is paused.
